Mardi Gras
Mardi Gras was great! This morning I made Monkey Bread with yellow, purple and green frosting. For dinner I had some friends over for chicken jumbalya and mini king cakes. Then the kids watched Princess and the Frog. It was a nice change to what would just be a typical Tuesday!

Super Bowl and Victory Parade
I know I'm pretty late on my updates, it's been a crazy month! Anyway, our team the Seattle Seahawks went to the Super Bowl so we went all out to celebrate! We had a party at my friends house with tons of delicious food.
On Wednesday there was a Victory Parade in Seattle where over 700,000 people attended. It was pretty surreal.

Valentine's Day, Miley Cyrus, and Other Weekend Stuff
On Valentine's Day, I had to work while the hubby and Riley got to stay home - so I made them heart shaped pancakes! I also set out their gifts before heading off to work...when I got home the table was covered in gifts, flowers, chocolate, and an art piece I've been wanting forever! I got totally spoiled. We then went to see The Lego Movie in 3D and went home for a yummy dinner.
That Sunday, I went to the Miley Cyrus concert with a few of my girlfriends, we went and got a couple drinks before hand then road the Link over to the Tacoma Dome. The show was SO GOOD. She is quite the entertainer that's for sure!
Other than that, Riley and I made a trip to the library and got a bunch of American Girl books which I've been reading to her before bed. I love getting to share these special memories I had as a child with her!
This past weekend we went to the local college Planetarium to learn about Asteroids and Meteors. It was pretty neat! We also attended a going away party for some close friends and finished off the weekend for some delicious frozen yogurt.
Birthday
A couple weeks ago friends of ours went out to breakfast at one of my favorite spots in downtown Tacoma, then we headed up to Bellevue to wander the mall and bowl at Lucky Strike. The night before it snowed several inches, it was so beautiful and was our first real snowfall of the winter. The night finished off with a delicious dinner made by my husband and a yummy and adorable cake he made as well!!

End of Football Season
We are big football fans around here. We love getting our friends together and throwing parties. We love dressing up. In a city that is so faithful and encouraging for an "underdog" team like the Seahawks, how can it not be contagious? Here's some photos from the past few weekends.
