Phone Art

While reading Atlantic-Pacific this morning, I started drooling over the customized iPhone 4 case she had in one of her pictures. I headed on over to the PlumStreetPrints (one of the Etsy stores she suggested) and stumbled upon  the most amazing, darling little iPhone cases I have ever seen. And this is yet another reason why I need an iPhone.

French Apple Tart

My brother came home for Family Dinner on Sunday since he's been living in his new apartment on campus at college. Mom whipped up some Coq Au Vin and using the Gala apples Riley and I had just picked at Avila Barn, I made a French Apple Tart via the recipe by Barefoot Contessa "Back to Basics" by Ina Garten. It came out delicious, especially with a small scoop of Vanilla ice cream.

Avil Barn Part 2 : Apple Picking!

Riley and I met up with some of our friends at the Avila Barn to feed the animals and go apple picking! So many gorgeous Gala apples. We left with a large bag full!

Happy Monday

Skirts: Missoni for Target, Sweater: Rubbish @ Nordstrom, Top: Lush @ Nordstrom, Riley's Top: Oshkosh, Accessories: Watch by Michael Kors, Friendship Bracelet from a baby shower, and Studded Bracelet from Forever 21

So I'm going to start off by how much of a GREAT mood I've been in all day! Seriously, it's Monday - and usually Monday's are all sorts of crazy. But for some reason I woke up on the very right side of the bed this morning because I've been chipper and smiley, and I think it even surprised my boyfriend when he called me earlier today.

So last week I went to Target at 8 AM when they first opened for the day on Tuesday September 13th. If you hadn't read my lasts few posts then you obviously don't know what was so important about that day. Well Missoni for Target finally released their new collection, which happened to sell out in a matter of hours online which caused their website to crash for two days, and in stores. My friend Madison and I met up at Target and were the first lucky ladies to grab some of the goods of the shelves before they were gone. I mostly got things for Riley - ballet flats, rainboots, a skirt and a skirt for myself. I would've gotten a few other things but the Target here only got certain items in their shipment.

Let me tell you, the hype on these items are incredible. I went to the Santa Barbara Zoo yesterday with Riley and I had several people stop me and ask "where did you get your skirt?" or "is that Missoni for Target?!" or "You totally lucked out with the Missoni!" because of course, Riley and I were both wearing our Missoni skirts. We were so cool. So chic and with it. Sigh. We're awesome.

Oh and of course, Riley had a BLAST at the zoo - I mean, how could you not have a good time seeing such incredible animals at such a close observation?

We ended our day with lunch at the Nordstrom Cafe (the half turkey sandwich and tomato basil soup is my fav!) then headed home. Busy busy day but so worth it.

Avila Barn Part 1

As a last minute idea, my dad and I decided to take Riley to the Avila Barn to feed the animal. She LOVES to feed the goats, sheep, cow, horses, and chickens. They also have a ton of delicious produce, baked goods, and ice cream!! Needless to say, we had a blast!

Fabulous Friday

Boots: Highway Boots by Carlos Santana; Skirt: Hybrid Couture; Socks: American Apparel; Jacket: Rubbish; Scarf: Target; Shirt: Lush; Watch: Michael Kors; Ring: Forever 21

So this week may have been a little off, my little brother left for college, work has been slow, not a lot of things have been happening... but in the midst of all that, there were some great things about this week. I made two trips to the Avila Barn with Riley to feed the animals and pick apples. I met up with one of my good friends for some quick Missoni-loving trips to Target. I even got some pictures to share of my first real outfit post. BAM. Not it's a perfect Friday. So let's kick this weekend off right and have a good time!

Missoni Love

Ok, did you see the commercials? Did you go through the lookbook online? This truely incredible collection is classic, chic, and seriously affordable. They came out with everything from Men's ties to luggage to housewares. It wasn't just a clothing line Missoni for Target came out with. It was literally a lifestyle takeover by one of the biggest names in the Fashion world. Probably why the Target website has been down since yesterday morning. Probably why every rack today was completely bare and all the items were thoroughly picked over. Probably why every mom with their small child or fashionista aggressively pushing her shopping cart was giving any girl with a Missoni item in her cart the stink-eye. It was fabulous.

If you haven't gone through the look-book, go NOW!

On your marks, get set...

In case you have been living under a rock and haven't heard of the most amazing news...Missoni for Target is in stores today!!! Such an amazingly iconic brand at affordable prices is what I've been waiting for...and you know I'll be there at 8am when they open those doors this morning. Thank goodness they have a Starbucks inside.

Oh and I even came up my plan of attack last night in my sleep. I'm that good.
