Tuesday Trends

So I have been wanting to do a post that I do weekly...so I have come up with Tuesday Trends! These are some of the trends I've been seeing circulate and just love!

 Retro Floral One Piece

Bright neon nail polishes - Essie Short Shorts

Ombre Blonde Hair

Zippered skinny jeans...and the white Chucks!

Maxi dress, with a vest and scarf. Love this look!

Straw fedoras...and hats. With the lace!

High waisted shorts! While they aren't for everyone - they can be very flattering on some people!

Lastly..stacking rings. I love all the different combinations you can come up with!

Farmers Market

Since the weather has gotten warmer and we are nearing summer, the farmers markets are all opening back up. I was really excited to visit the one near me - it has a park in the middle of all the booths - and there are so many booths with all sorts of different things. I was very impressed. I will definitely be going back! Riley had fun dancing the hula to live music, sitting in the grass with her friend Deacon, and picking flowers/crunching leaves with her cousin Eris. It was a gorgeous day too! We've been so blessed with the amazing weather we've been having!

SLO

Riley, my little traveler, did so good this trip. We had to wake up super early to make our 6 am flight to San Jose and both if our backpacks and suitcases were heavily packed!!

When we got to San Jose, it was already hot outside. We met my parents outside and made the drive to San Luis Obispo. First stop was Mimi's Cafe for breakfast. It was so good, I can't even remember the last time I was there.

When we got into town we dropped off our luggage and headed to the beach. It was so hot! I couldn't believe it. Farmers Market was in full swing so we got some snacks after taking some pictures on the beach. Before it closed, we headed to the Avila Barn to see the animals. Riley always loved going there.

That evening we went out to Indian food and got ice cream sandwiches at a local shop called Batch - you pick out your cookies and ice cream and they out together for you right there. It was sooo good.

That wraps up the first day! Stay tuned for more posts and pictures!

Mother's Day Wishes

Now all of us mothers know that the greatest gift is our children...but sometime we could use just a little something extra...here are my ideas for the perfect Mother's Day!

1. Brunch - with a few mimosas ;)
2. Seattle Mariners Game - free Mother's Day bracelets!
3. The new Dooney and Bourke Hydrangeas purse in Pink and Black- swoon!

Lately...

This past few weeks we've been out playing in the sunshine, making our first trip to the library, trying out new roller skates, half prices frappucino happy hour, and me enjoying a margarita on Cinco de Mayo. Riley and I have been pretty busy lately! So thankful for these past few weeks of sunshine! I hope it sticks around!!

I've Got Sunshine...

A few weeks ago Riley had to go to her five year old checkup, which included shots, so I took her to get frozen yogurt afterwards. In the little center by her doctors office they have a grassy area with these giant cement animals and Riley wanted to sit on each one while I took her picture. It had been off and on sunny so I set up her easel outside so she could paint - I'm so excited for summer to be here!!

Zoo and Takeoff

So I neglected to end the Visiting SLO series from the previous weekend. On this trip Riley went to two zoos! What a lucky girl. This last one was pretty awesome - low key with rides and lots of shade. They even had a petting zoo where you could brush and feed goats, sheep, and cows. The zoo had an interesting name, Happy Hollow Park & Zoo, nestled in the Vietnamese part of town in San Jose.

Before jumping on the plane, we stopped at In-N-Out for a burger. So soooo good! We got through airport security like a dream and waited for our plane to board. It was a great trip!
