Westport

One of the road trips we took recently was to a little beach town called Westport. It was a gorgeous sunny day and we wanted to go exploring.

We stopped at a small brewery, then headed to the warf. It was pretty windy so we drove over to the beach area. The clouds started to roll in so we ate our picnic lunch in the car before we started to head back.

There was an awesome winery that we had passed on the way to Westport, so we stopped there for a wine tasting. I was amazed by all the art work and sculptures they had made out of driftwood! Even a full chess board! The wine there was delicious too!

Road Trip to Washington

My best friend Chelsea, Riley and I all made the incredibly long journey up to Washington last weekend too see the new house! We stopped along the way to take some pictures, even taking some while Chelsea was driving. We saw the Space Needle and went to Bite of Seattle, took the monorail, went to Nordstrom, Riley took a train ride in the mall, and we even had a chance to see my cousin and her family. Riley adored her baby cousin Eris! Needless to say we all had a blast, and we are so excited to move up there in just over a month! I can't believe how fast time has gone.

Monterey

This weekend my family went up to Monterey to celebrate Riley's birthday. We went to the Monterey Bay Aquarium, had lunch at Bubba Gump, explored downtown, and even made a little stop at our favorite cheese shop in Carmel-by-the-Sea.

I have been wanting to do a road trip for some time. I've been on little ones here and there this past summer to go to concerts, trade shows, and quick visits with friends. But there hasn't been enough time to actually SEE, EXPLORE, and DOCUMENT all the awesome things around me.
