Finally Friday!!

It's kind of sad that I always feel this way when Friday rolls around. I pretty much live for the weekends! And Saturday is Saint Patrick's Day! Bring on the green beer!!!

This weekend will be about relaxing. It's supposed to rain both days, so staying in and catching up on some reading sounds perfectly good to me!

Movie Night

So I rarely go out to the movies. Unless its something I've been dying to see, I usually just wait until it comes out on DVD. Well I am so glad I didn't wait for for This Means War because it was HILARIOUS. Seriously, I was laughing the whole time. You know when you're watching a romantic comedy and they say all of your favorite inside jokes (or now new inside jokes) and you just can't even believe that just happened? Oh it was so good. Plus I love Reese Witherspoon.

Oh, and the theater is next to In-N-Out so that was dinner. Yum!!

Sunday Funday

Mt friend Catherine, Riley and all decided to take a little road trip on down to Santa Barbara. Nordstrom, thrift stores, and an awesomely huge wooden playground all took part in our fantastic day!

Weekend!!!

Ok, so this is a little embarrassing. I've recently become addicted to Army Wives on Netflix and will watch episode after episode each night before bed. Well last night, I cried for an ENTIRE episode. We're talking 42 minutes of straight bawling and snot everywhere. But let me tell you something...it felt so good to cry like that because it's been forever since I have!

On another note, there was a gloriously large moon out last night, which I tried desperately at getting a good picture of...on my iPhone. Let's just say it looks like a large yellow circle surrounded by black. Not exactly the artistic vision I had going.

It's FRIDAY people!!! I'm going to work til noon then get my little booty to the beach with some of my friends! Yahooooo!

Blog Redesign

So I'm in desperate need of a blog redesign. My page is just too simple looking, and I want it to be more attractive. Does anyone have any recommendations for people that do awesome blog designs and are a reasonable price??

Also, the weather has been CRAZY here. It was gorgeous and sunny and hot all weekend, then Monday rolled around and it started to cool off - yesterday was really windy and FREEZING! It was also supposed to rain, but that didn't happen. Could we just stay at a constant temperature please?! My body would thank you since it wouldn't have to acclimate to every type of weather that's thrown its way here!

I can't wait for summer.

An Eventful Weekend

 

So I would say that it has been a pretty eventful weekend. I started it off by visiting my friend Anna's new food truck business over by Cal Poly at just after 11 pm. The food was amazing! I was so excited for her. On Friday I got a last minute invitation to attend the Madonna Inn Fashion Show, which is quite a big deal around here- tickets sell for $130 a pop! I got all dolled up in my Betsey Johnson dress, some berry colored lipstick and of course, pearls. The show was awesome, I laughed at the funny musical skits, admired the clothes, and ate delicious food. I even ran into one of my favorite high school teachers there! On Saturday I got up bright and early so Riley and I could meet our friends for breakfast and walk around downtown. After Riley's nap we spent about an hour at the beach. Sunday we spent four hours at the beach in the glorious heat that we have been waiting for, then I put Riley down for her nap and continued soaking up the sun in my backyard on a lounge chair. I definitely have the best spot up there on our little part of the "hill". I can see the entire city from there! I had stopped at Trader Joe's and picked up some chicken hot dogs and honey wheat buns, my brother fired up the grill and they made for a delicious lunch topped with the hot and sweet mustard sauce I had also gotten from there!

When Riley got up we went downtown for some ice cream, bookstore browsing, and a little window shopping. We wore our Toms together and took cutesy pictures. The last thing I did this weekend was try two new hairstyles. The waterfall braid is pretty hard, but I did get one side down! Now I'm on the the more retro looking way to curl my hair without heat. Let's see how that one goes.
