Seaside

A couple weeks ago we got up early and headed down to Seaside, Oregon. I hadn't been and had heard if what a cute little beach town it was. We chose the perfect day to go too, it was warm and sunny! We had a great time picking out different flavors at the taffy shop, browsing the little gift shops, and picking up some local sodas at a soda shoppe. We walked along the beach and just took it in. It's been a while since I've been to the beach, which has been weird since I've lived so close to one most of my life! Riley's eyes just lit up when we got there. She misses it just as much as I do. I hope we can go back again this summer!

Weekend Love

So this weekend was pretty epic. Last Thursday I won tickets to see Lady Gaga tonight (!!!) did a mini road trip with my friend up to Seattle, while i was there i stopped at Top Pot Doughnuts and Pyramid Brewery. Saturday had a girls night where we drank wine and had our hair done by my awesome friend, and Sunday we watched the heartbreaking but exciting Seahawks game. What an amazing season they had!

A Weekend Getaway

This past week, we decided to do a last minute marriage retreat in Port Townsend. We stayed at the Mansera Castle, which is reportedly haunted. We got to take a stroll down the picturesque streets of downtown and tried some beer at the Port Townsend Brewery. We caught up with friends who were also on the retreat, and finally had the chance to come together and enjoy each others company on a mini vacation. The material they taught at the retreat to strengthen our marriage was on the book by Gary Chapman, called The Five Love Languages. I found it to be very helpful and made sense as to why it is so successful! If you haven't read it, I highly suggest you do!!

Bachelorette, Rehearsal BBQ and a Wedding

These past two weekends have been totally packed with wedding festivities! I am definitely glad that I got through both without keeling over - cause I'm tired!!! The Navy Wife to be had a pin up inspired bachelorette party, and a princess style wedding! It was so beautiful. Here are some pics from this weekend!
